"One year of CouponConcerts already… Crazy! This whole adventure gives me hope: classical music is all but dead! There is still so much to create, so much energy and passion to channel into everybody’s living room!

When I think of CouponConcerts, the word that comes to my mind is "teamwork". First of all between us, Anne, Alice, Jelle, David and I; it’s a step further in our friendship, another kind of "chamber music" that we play together. But it also feels like a huge teamwork with all of the musicians who are taking part in this journey, and with the audience!

Last summer, I played a CouponConcert for a lady’s 80th birthday, and some weeks ago, I received by mistake a text from her, addressed to her sister, in which she was telling her how much she loved it! It was such a nice feeling to see that more than six months later, she was still thinking and talking about it!

Playing in orchestras, or even regular recitals, I often miss this personal connection with the audience, and I hope CouponConcert can keep going forward filling this gap. It would be a win-win, for the audience and for us musicians!

So I wish us many happy returns, and a lot of energy to keep thriving and inventing!"
